Re: Unpaid bills.....
Yet again we are only told one side of the story - it would be interesting to hear RCCL's version.

RCI Indy of the Seas held in port!!!
I've just heard that RCI's Indy of the Seas was held up in Alesund because they hadn't paid their port charges (or something) since October - and the ship was held by bailiffs on behalf of the Norwegian Coast Authority until the bill was paid.
Not a good sign, is it?

Yes I read that a few days ago. It does pose some questions.

Re: Unpaid bills.....
It certainly does make me wonder - if they can't pay a £60k bill for port handling, let's just hope they pay for fuel and provisions (not to mention crew),

As I said before we only know one half of the story. My guess, and it is only a guess, is that it is an admin error on someone's part - quite possibly the port agent. After all £60k to any cruise line is "petty cash"

Re: Unpaid bills.....
Just caught up with this thread.
Since RCCL have just increased their dividend by about 20% I really don't think there is anything to worry about. However, this is about par for a multinational - pay your bills when you get sued.
