On careful consideration I think you may possibly be right.
Now let me return to wondering how to spend the 20% of my extra £100 tax allowance. Now let me think. That's 38p per week. What can I spend that on?

I had a similar dilemma recently
My State Pension, great fully received, was increased by 25p less tax
