Balcony size

#1

Post by Bunion »

Can anyone help with balcony sizes on Azura or Ventura? Having been on D deck on Ventura I was interested to hear from someone that the balcony sizes on C deck are bigger. Is this the case? Obviously the cabins must be smaller, but a slightly larger balcony would more than make up for that. Also, are the C deck ones completely in the sun (like D deck) or in partial shade?

C deck are indeed bigger, and are partly shaded. If you're a balcony person possibly the best on the ships. But it is only C deck. Higher decks have similar cabins but much smaller balconies

Cabins are same size. The balconies are tiered so overlook each other.

Just to clarify Susan, cabins on A, B and C are the same size. Those on D are not, they are the larger Superior Deluxe Balcony Cabins.

And to reiterate, yes the balconies are tiered, but those on C deck are biggest by a mile.

If we are paying a select fare we always book the C deck balcony cabin. Such a shame Britannia balconies are not going to be as big.

The bit that is under B deck is in the shade but more than the same size again is in the sun.

Agree, the balconies on C Deck for Ventura and Azura are the biggest around. Whenever we are on these ships it is always a C Deck cabin for us.

Thanks for your replies. It will be C deck for us I think then. We can live without the bath and sofa !

Really chuffed, rang P&O to-day and changed to a C deck balcony cabin on next Wednesdays Ventura cruise, yes did pay for it but actually thought it would be too late. Had been thinking about it for ages and as we are cruising into and out of Venice and also Kotor thought it worth spending a few £ for the a relaxing start to the day just sat out on the balcony gliding along past the sights.
