Never mind reporting back Towny. Take you hacksaw and hammer with you and see what you can do on sea days to pass the time.

Re: The Britannia Maiden (part 8)
I just thought I'd add a footnote to my review.
I sent P & O an email about my problems that I had with my dietary issues. I had almost forgotten about it, but I had a reply from them today.
They've said that they've discussed this with the relevant people on board, and it appears there was some confusion regarding the requirement of my no salt diet and the Restaurant Manager has expressed his concern about this, and has apologised that he wasn't aware at the time, so wasn't able to rectify the situation.
As a goodwill gesture they've give my £100 OBC for my next cruise!
I'm really happy with the response to my feedback as it's clear that it's been looked into thoroughly. Also, I've learnt from the experience too, as, in future I'll make it totally clear what I can and can't have, and will speak to the Restaurant Manager if I need too.
I think the £100 OBC is more than generous, especially as I wasn't expecting anything at all! I just wanted to give feedback so they'd be able to pass my comments on to the ship to help other special diet people.
Hats off to P&O, their handling of my feedback has exceeded my expectations, and I'm a happy customer.

That's something they NEVER get confused about!Stephen wrote:Bet they didn't get 'confused' taking the money for the cruise Gill
All I need now is for my ongoing Halifax complaint to be resolved - I recently registered my accounts for gross interest, and Halifax have made a meal over it. I've had to write a complaint letter about that. I've never had cause to complain about things before. I put it down to being retired - I've got more time on my hands to write lengthy letters! :Mervyn and Trish wrote:Good result Gill.

Well now you've got time, here's a few things to get wound up about:
- Non-wrap-around promenade decks (especially if made of plastic rather than teak)
- Sunbeds
- Smokers
- Other people's children
- Ship's that aren't like Canberra
- Butlins
That should keep you going for a bit!

Re: The Britannia Maiden (part 8)
I'm beginning to understand why some people are professional complainers.
I had a phone call from the Halifax this morning. They are going sort my problem out, and they have paid £30 into my account for the inconvenience!
So that's £130 generated in two days from one complaint and one feedback
I think they've made a rod for their own back by throwing money at people at the slightest expression of dissatisfaction.
People must make a fortune by actively seeking problems and writing letters of complaint about them.

Ooooh, forgot to mention I won £30 on Thunderball last night, so that's £160 in all.
That'd buy a nice leather Radley bag.
You can NEVER have enough handbags, I'm sure Stephen will agree!

Oi, what's all this about me and handbags!!
I bet that gobby g*t half a life has been talking again. The only bag you'll see me with (no not the wife ) will have Nikon on the side of it and a SLR inside
