Celebrity Infinity to Iceland

#1

Post by Solent Richard »

As members may well have guessed from a recent thread I have just returned from an 11 night cruise on board Celebrity Infinity...

This was altogether an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable cruise.

Celebrity cruises don’t get everything right but they certainly come quite close to it where my wife and I are concerned. We knew what to expect and our expectations were met in both the food and entertainment departments. Staff on Celebrity, as always, are certainly friendly if not always efficient: but they certainly ooze enthusiasm.

The itinerary was superb. Our first port of call was Torshavn...

Reykjavic was an over night stop which gave the opportunity to do an all day 'Golden Circle' tour on the first day...

As part of an island tour from Lerwick we visited Scalloway...

Food and entertainment were all up to Celebrity's high standards...

Thanks for the review, Solent Richard, especially the photos and the link to your blog. We have recently returned from Iceland after a second visit and I think it is one of the most interesting places we have ever visited. We also visited Torshavn but we went to Orkney instead of Shetland. I think people miss out on some wonderful scenery when they are only prepared to visit 'hot' countries.
