On our Christmas cruise we did nothing and as far as I was aware neither did anyone else on our table.
Not really sure why you should - if you stayed at an hotel at home what would you give the staff?

As yet we haven’t taken a Christmas cruise, but we have stayed in hotels over Christmas. We left a card with some cash for the chambermaid.

We tend to give a card to the waiters and cabin steward with a small donation to their Christmas Party fund !

Remind ne never to book a Xmas cruise, not only are they grossly over-priced, there also seem far too many other little issues to worry about.

It still beats thrashing around Tesco on Christmas Eve to buy your lettuce and cream !

Remind me not to come round yours for Christmas dinner if all you serve is lettuce and cream.

I'd just give them cards. Presents are for family and close friends

not saying you should, but it is Christmas and the season of good will. You do what you feel is right for you.
If I were working Christmas day I'd appreciate a "tip" if I were in a customer service role

Many years ago I worked in the "customer service " role in a hotel in Bedford and never got any tips at any time of the year! we were lucky to get a smile and that was supposed to be in a "good" hotel. Thank goodness I managed to get an other job!

I'm not saying I woyldn't give them a tip. I give them that at any time of the year, unlike some tight gits!

Re: Tips / presents on a christmas cruise
We've done many Christmas cruises and always give a Christmas card containing some cash, Christmas day is like any other for the hard working crew so if I can put a smile on someone's face I'm happy to do so.
