I'm Back
Hi Guy’s and Gal’s, I’m Back!!
The last nine months have been shear hell health wise, which I will not bore you with, albeit to say that I was prohibited by the “Quack Cutters” from reading and spent many hours in darkness. However it did give me the opportunity to reacquaint myself with the beauty of BBC Radio.
Occasionally my dear lady and my daughter would read some of your posts to entertain me, which they did, but more about that latter.
My daughter confused the issue by creating another username for me on the site which has given David a bit of bother. In respect of that I would like to express my sincere thanks to David for getting me back online and to all of you who privately sent us their best wishes.
To some there may well be a few who might say, “O No, he’s back”. The reason being that some old and hardened old sea dogs believed that I was the reincarnation of a former P&O forum pain in the backside, which I am not!!
It just feels good to be back!!

Welcome back John
I guess many of us on here have had a taste of health issues over the years .... but ops / procedures on eyes would, for me, be absolutely horrendous

Re: I'm Back
Just Back guy's, not fully well yet as I still have to have two tumors to be zapped next month, then hopefully into remission. We have not as yet cancelled our 28 days on Britannia in the Caribbean as the quack's think I should be OK to go at the turn of the year. Have dearly missed cruising although our travel insurers are smiling all the way to their bank.

Welcome back
Hopefully next months procedure will go well, and you'll have a return to full health (and cruising)

Re: I'm Back
Thanks Allan, however, my fully active getting back into action may have been a tad premature and that my visits and contributions over the next year may be pretty intermittent.
During my radiotherapy pre-treatment scan, last week, they found additional problems which will, I have been told, involve more FCR/CHOPS cycles and going by the program they are proposing put paid to my planned month in the Caribbean on Britannia.
Please folk do not look on this as a cry for sympathy; it is merely so that you all know why my participation might be a bit erratic. However, I will be reading or having your posts read to me, so please keep up all the interaction , jocularity and fun which makes this forum so good.
