He appeared to have an odd looking mouse in his mouth, but when he dropped it, it took off and flew silently - and at great speed - around the kitchen! We opened the folding doors, and it eventually flew out, and disappeared into the night.

I dint think it is your kind of ship , it is not overly formal, an old ship with very few mod cons, few balcony cabins and no posh eateries or bars
It bears no comparison to the 2. PandO ships I have been on

....but did you enjoy your cruise on Magellan better than your P&O ones? From your review so far the passengers seem to have similar failings to those you met on P&O.
