Trades are a nessacary evil I'm afraid if you want anything done. I'm sure it'll all be worth it when finished.
Not an evil but a blessing if you get to know good trades people.
Repeat work and recommendations tells you a lot as a trades person.
I hope you have good kitchen fitters Happy and top trades people to fit the lecky and water/gas.

They're here on time, that's a step in the right direction πŸ˜ƒ

I didn't think I had so much in the cupboards, never mind I have had a good clear outπŸ˜‚

IF you can get good trades people. You need to do your homework, and as you say, see if you can get any recommendations. I always look at the reviews for a particular company as a first port of call.

One of my pet hates with trades people is their bl**dy radio playing all day.

We have just had all out facia, soffits and guttering replaced and all our rear windows and back door by a another company. Fortunately no radios

The weather has changed a bit but I suppose we do need the rain. Popped home to check over things but luckily the lawns do not need a cut yet.
Happy, how did the kitchen turn out, pleased I hope.
Oh well, must return to the coast now. Sometimes life can be a beach.

I think I'd rather be inland than on the coast today Ray.

Very strong winds all through the night, makes you think what those in the Caribbean had to go through with the hurricanes. To them, our wind must be just a breeze. Anyhow it looks like it may be a tad less strong now and forecast to drop out during the morning.

Kept me awake most of the night. Every now and again there would be a sudden gust that would cause a fence panel somewhere to make a loud screeching noise as it moved in the posts. Bl**dy thing.

Well you Southerners have had the best of the summer, as usual, so it's only fair you get the worst of the winds.

I do detect a change in the temperature, and looking at the next two weeks it does not show any days above 20c. The sea where we are is a nice 18c, but a cool breeze knocks the fun back a bit when getting out of it.
Much to early to turn the C/H on, is it?

Perish the thought. Wait until at least ice is forming on the inside of the glass before even thinking about putting the heating on.

I'd rather have the cold than the horrendous high temps we've had down here recently.

Do you not benefit from a sea breeze at Maldon Stephen?
