My eldest granddaughter's prom last night - she looked so grown up and I know I am biased but she did look lovely without being over the top. I cringed at some of the dresses - so unsuitable for 16 year olds  I can't say I agree with the whole prom thing - so much pressure on parents and so expensive with dresses/suits/hair do's/makeup etc. - yet another American custom from across the pond

I had a message from Nationwide my CC provider to go online and ensure my personal data was correct for the upcoming higher security checks they will be initiating shortly.
So I obediently complied, but as I tried to access the data page I was asked a security question as to which was my favourite cartoon character, I cannot remember inputting any security information with this question and it did not recognise any likely answers I gave it. I just hope it performs better when the new security system is operational.

Neighbours cat just brought a live bird into house (patio door was open) - tried to get it out of his mouth but little devil wouldn’t let go. Not much experience of cats but my son who has two cats says it’s a present  I had to put him out but now he’s back crying by door (without bird) :lolno:

Three things. He's either killed and eaten it, left it dead somewhere or it got away (unlikely)

I found a dead mouse on my patio previously which I have no doubt Roger left there - funny way of showing affection ;)

And I bet you've got poor Trish mixing the cement.

Of course not. She's too busy carrying the flags.
