Jigsaws anyone ?
Here is a little puzzle for you all (a friend showed me this last night from a site about classic cars he runs)
Arcadia in Huatulco (300 pieces)
Royal Princess/Artemis (200 pieces)
Nelsons Dockyard from Shirley Heights (200 pieces)

Only 300 pieces? How about a real challenge? Besides, it doesn't feel the same unless you're sitting in the library with an audience commenting on every move.

Got it that's rather good, I think it would take me forever to do it though, much easier with the pieces in front of you on a table

Yes it looks fun but I think the old fashioned out of a box is easier. i like to complete the frame first and then work on the most colourful or stand out bits.

It's a clever idea but the pieces are a bit on the small side for me. At the moment I have a Wasgij on the go. I rather enjoy the fact there's no picture to work from and there is some subtle humour in the finished picture.

I got to about 80% on my ipad but it got so slow as to be not practical. Great fun though.

I actually spent about 40 mins on it at lunchtime. Just about finished the colourful bits (umbrellas etc), but gave up when I developed RSI in my hand and wrist.

You are not on your own Jan, I had to google too, they do look very interesting and yes ... you can get them from Amazon.

Re: Jigsaws anyone ?
Jo, Jan - several jigsaw and toy shops sell them, but you'll find them cheaper on Amazon. There are (I think) three types: what happens next (for example, one has a railway engine bearing down on two people tied to the track - what happens next?); look into the future (one is of an office in the early 20th century, what will it look like now?); and what are they seeing (the people in the picture are looking out at you, you've got to put yourself in their place to see what they are looking at). They're great fun!

I have added a couple more and made them a bit easier (only 200 pieces ... which should be easier on the eyes)
