Found this on another site. Something I was not aware of, but then I don't fall into that category

Get the Military Discount Card (£4.99 for 5 years) - https://www.defencediscountservice.co.uk. Minimum service requirements are 24 hours!! I've only known one person do less than that (a girl who wanted to be an officer, arrived at Cranwell on the Sunday afternoon and was found in flagrante delicto on a car bonnet with a steward she'd only just met :o She was escorted off the base the following morning...)

Whilst the Discount Card is an excellent resource with many outlets taking it. Because it can also be acquired by Civilian MOD personnel it has been removed from Proof of Service by P&O and other Cruise Lines. Now, only ID Cards for serving personnel and copy of your Discharge papers for veterans will be accepted.

I can't remember where it came from (possibly on this forum??) but was given the contact address as militarybenefits@carnivalukgroup.com.

I've just emailed them and got an automated reply:
For all Military Benefits enquiries, please call our Customer Contact Centre who will be more than happy to deal with your Enquiry :

P&O Cruises - 0843 374 0111, or Cunard - 0843 374 0000

Please be aware that your email will not be responded to so please call us on the above numbers.

Thank you and Kind regards!
I've just phoned them up to ask how we go about getting it and, after giving our booking reference, the girl said she'd increased our OBC by $50 each straight away - just take our discharge papers on board as proof in case we are asked for them!

Now to apply for shareholder credit!!

We have military OBC for a cruise on Ventura we booked a month or so ago. My husband has the defence discount card and it gives your service regiment and number of years service on it, but you don't actually need that just your discharge papers.

Just booked a cruise on Queen Victoria and at the moment for the next few days they are giving double military OBC only on booking though our other cruise doesn't count. We also got 5% discount by using the Blue Light Card. Bargain. If you use the Blue Light Card with Cunard or P&O you have to book direct

You can't get the ONC on a late saver fate though.

With the Forces Privilege Card you can also get 10% on Celebrity and RCI but you have to book direct with them.

Cunard said we had to take our discharge documents on board "just in case", but they added the extra OBC just on the strength of my phone call.

You get it in addition to any shareholder OBC you might be entitled to.
