Cunard's suites
I see that a travel agent took a booking for Cunard for the world cruise which cost £174.000
They wanted the queen's grill duplex suite, but apparently this is only available to us passengers for booking. The ta managed to book it in the end for the couple.
Nice
But I didn't know that Cunard kept certain suites back for the american bookings.

Re: Cunard's suites
They certainly don’t keep them exclusively for the US bookings. We met a lovely British couple that had a duplex on the last World cruise we travelled 8n.

Maybe they normally keep them for direct bookings?

Re: Cunard's suites
I don't know about certain cabins/suites being held back specifically for US passengers but I have heard that certain cabins are held back for full World Cruise passengers to book rather than be made available for passengers just doing a sector, I assume at some point all cabins are made available but it seems fair to me if someone is spending that sort of money they should get first refusal.
