Post by Whynd1 »

Morning all

As I am still not receiving the moments magazine, despite numerous phone calls, can anyone tell me who the Captain is for my Arcadia cruise to the Baltic on the 2nd September.
Thanks
Lindsey

Do you think that the Captain has your copy or that he / she has a spare … maybe / maybe not ? ;)
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Just had a look and it shows Ashley Cook as captain until 27th September. Hope this helps, enjoy your cruise.

As an aside, we had Captain Neil Turnbull on our recent Ventura cruise. A very funny man.

We had Robert Camby on Oceana in July and hoping he will still be on on October, he's my favourite! Love his thought for the day, did you know their are no canaries on the Canary Islands, and the same in the Virgin Islands ....not one canary!! 8-)

Cases standing ready in the hall for tomorrow.
The weather forecast for the Baltic is not very good with rain forecast at ports of call. Still the girls and I will make use of our balconies when we can and enjoy a nice glass of wine or two !!

I'll also be in Southampton tomorrow, to board Azura.

We are packed as far as we can be, just my dresses to go in, which I'll do later, then we'll put the cases in the car, to save time tomorrow.

We're heading to the East Med, Forecast seems ok, and not too hot.

Enjoy your cruise
Gill

Hope you have a great time Lindsey and the weather is kind to you. We were pleasantly surprised how good the weather was - often went out with jackets jumpers etc and ended up carrying them.

We are making our way back to Southampton and will dock on the Sunday evening rather than the Monday morning. This is for the satellite dish at the top of the ship to be removed by crane so they can upgrade the WiFi.
Torrential rain at the beginning of the cruise meant we didnt get off in Norway or Denmark, never seen rain like it. Rest of the cruise has been good. The crew can't do enough for you. Loyalty lunch today and drinks this evening.

Sorry to hear that, Lindsey. Very frustrating but a good excuse for another cruise to that area.
