Dancing on Oriana
Is there still ballroom dancing in Harlequins in the evening on Oriana. Do they still have A Black and White Ball?

Steve

Hi Lollie,
I would have thought so too, only it says on one of the e-brochures that Harlequins has dance lessons through the day but turns into an intimate disco at night & that there is only hosted dancing on Adonia. It seems a shame if they are dropping dancing on all but 'Strictly ' cruises. A couple of years ago we went to the US on Aurora and the dancing was very popular. Last year, again on Aurora, there were very few people dancing. I was just wondering if anyone had recent experience of Oriana.

Steve

Whenever we have been on Oriana there has been ballroom/latin/sequence dancing every night until just before midnight and then it changed to disco. It was always very popular so I can't imagine it would have changed.

Hi Steve
Oriana is the best P&O ship for ballroom dancing, there would be many very upset pax if it were altered, you will have dance instructors to give lessons on sea days and dancing every night, either hosted by the instructors on most nights or the band.
We will be joining Oriana on 20th April for a 'Strictly' cruise and are looking forward to a super dance themed cruise, it will be our 3rd Strictly cruise all of them on Oriana, so have no worries about the dancing on Oriana just worry about trying to remember your steps!

Hi Steve & Carol,
That's certainly good news! We must have mis interpreted something in one of the brochures.. It's a few years since we have been on Oriana ; and we agree that Harlequins is the best dance area, so, roll on Tuesday week!

Just back from Oriana cruise to the northern lights. there was ballroom dancing each night in Harlequins, sometimes hosted, sometimes not. Also afternoon social dancing some days and also lessons. Have to say it was not as busy in there on this particular cruise, the Pacific Lounge seemed more popular offering a variety of different quizzes, game shows, cabaret acts etc.
