Re: Cabin Reviews - Ventura
We have done both D330 and C254 and the larger balconies are C, as you know partly private from above. However, D deck are fully open to the higher decks and half the size of C deck.
In my opinion there is enough room for three, but will you be able to get another balcony chair for your use.

Has anyone had an inside cabin on Ventura? To keep costs down we have opted for an inside for 2adults and 2 children. We don't tend to spend any time in the cabin other than to sleep and get dressed.

Re: Cabin Reviews - Ventura
Not had one on Ventura but have had inside cabins in the past. They are fine if you are mostly out and about. One definite advantage of inside cabins for us was the fact that at night you have total darkness and we slept like logs!!! We only knew whether it was night or day if we put the TV on. If the children don't like the dark maybe a little night light would be handy, especially if anyone wants to go to the loo during the night (or a torch). The beauty of a balcony cabin is the ability to get some fresh air into the cabin whereas inside or outside cabins rely on air con.
The only way to find out whether you like inside cabins or not is to try it. I know many who would always go inside. Certainly if going up to 'The Land of the Midnight Sun' I would choose an inside cabin as the light from outside kept me awake, despite the blackout curtains.

Hello there - my son and DIL and my two granddaughters have had an inside cabin on Ventura - the girls were 4 and 8 at the time and they were very happy with it. The steward put the bunks up during the day so they could move around more easily - they did struggle a bit with wardrobe space but managed quite well really.

We have been on a few Ventura and Azura cruises and always book an insde or an outside cabin for us, both are more than acceptable! We don't spend much time in the cabin just the same as you do but that might be because we don't have a balcony:) never felt claustrophobic:) money saved gets spend on other things or another cruiselorna1573 wrote:Has anyone had an inside cabin on Ventura? Re: Cabin Reviews - Ventura
Kind of a cabin review question I guess. We choose an Early saver fare, for the 17 night cruise we are doing next summer on Ventura. Obviously we realised we would not have our cabin allocated until nearer the date of sailing, however to my surprise P&O seem to have allocated our cabin already. On the cruise personaliser screen it says we have been allocated C717, it suits us fine because it is on the same staircase as the kids clubs and also towards the rear of the ship with only cabins below and above, not a public area. From experience is this cabin likely to change? Obviously with the early saver fare we realised we weren't going to get more than we paid for but actually that seems quite a decent cabin, I don't really want it to change.

In the unlikely event that somebody comes along wishing to pay the ' full ' fare for your specific cabin then you will get moved, can also happen in the final few weeks if there are folk chasing deals in your cabin grade.

Cabin Number: D422 - Superior Deluxe Balcony, midships port
Overall Rating: 5*****
Cleanliness: 5*****
Furnishings: 4****
Balcony: 4****
Bathroom: 5*****
Location: 5*****
Stability: 5*****
Quiet Cabin?: 5*****
Comments: Great cabin. Immediately opposite the access to the midships stairs and just along from the lifts. But no noise from either. I've marked the furnishings down only because the settee is getting a little tired. And the balcony which might not suit some because in the Azura/Ventura design it had no shade and is overlooked. Not an issue for us, for whom the extra cabin space is more valuable.

More expensive cabins have two TVs, one can be seen from the bed,and another from the sofa.

I thought it might be because Merv will only watch BBC, whilst Trish prefers commercials.

Well at least on the BBC you get different news each day. On Sky it was the same for 28 days. Yawn.

Why the NHS is not safe in Tory hands has been the headline news item on the Beeb for the last 3 weeks, so much for your claim Merv.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑22 Feb 2017, 10:42Well at least on the BBC you get different news each day. On Sky it was the same for 28 days. Yawn.
