Re: Saga cruises
Never even been remotely tempted at their prices .
They look very expensive to me.
Nice little ships though.

You're too young anyway barney!!barney wrote:Never even been remotely tempted at their prices .

Our first cruise was with Saga and yes they are expensive but they really do look after you. Friendly crew who cannot do enough to make sure you have a good holiday, nice little ships, wonderful food. I couldn't really fault them except they are dear.
It's very much a case of getting what you pay for with them and they don't lower their prices.
Would I travel with them again? Definitely. Would I be prepared to pay those prices? Give me time to think about it.

We've been always put off by their prices for a half decent cabin. Plus, though we are old enough for Saga, we prefer being among a more mixed age range of passengers.

Yes, we have been on many Saga cruises, though sadly not for awhile now I have lost my luggage packer
Regarding the oft suggestions that Saga are a tad pricey but there is so much included in the upfront price
The travel insurance is OKA1, we had to cancel a booked cruise and a full refund was effected with in three days of supplying the necessary paper work, transportation is of a high standard, this and all gratuities are all included in the price thus making the costs look more reasonable
Unlike most cruise lines, the specialist dining is at no additional cost as is the Coffee/Cakes emporium opened early to late
We were invited to view the "Sapphire" which is Sagas latest purchase, the ship has been completely refurbished to a high standard - most impressed
The entertainment, daytime activities together with dining experiences are first class
Saga do cater for the more matured passengers which gives the false impression of a floating nursing home, they do go the extra mile in giving the single traveler the opportunity of making new friends etc
Finally, look out for the "all inclusive" short cruises, all drinks, shore excursions included
