Oasis of the Seas - a ship too far ?
Just been looking at some online blurb for Oasis of the Seas.
This is one gi-normous ship - 6,300 passengers.
Is that too big ?

Is it too big?
Probably yes.
I'd like to have a look round, but I don't think I'd want to sail on her

Oasis has 2700 cabins so on a lower berth basis the normal passenger load is 5400. It would be unlikely ever to have its max capacity of 6300.
But before discounting it completely it would be worthwhile checking reviews, or the RCCL page of cruise critic.

PS, Oasis space ratio of 41.7 tonnes per passenger is only bettered by Adonia and is the same as Arcadia, so despite the numbers it should feel less crowded than most P&O ships.

How on Earth would you know unless you try it, we thought we would hate Vegas and Disneyland, but fell in love with them both don't pre-judge, approach everything with an open mind.Silver_Shiney wrote:Not to my taste

Do you have a doctors note preventing you from setting foot on anything over 95,000 tonnes....just saying.poole boy wrote:as we will not sail on any boat bigger than Arcadia its a definite no from us

Like Gill W
I would like to look around but don't think I would like to sail on her. I don't think I'd fancy being in port the same day as her! As for the possibility of tenders goodness me say no more;)

I thought I would hate Disney world but loved it. However, after watching a Paul Merton documentary a couple of years back, I'm really not enamoured by the RCI brand, the centre area looks like a shopping mall and we prefer the formality offered by P&O and Cunardtowny44 wrote:How on Earth would you know unless you try it, we thought we would hate Vegas and Disneyland, but fell in love with them both don't pre-judge, approach everything with an open mind.Silver_Shiney wrote:Not to my taste

Always willing to try anything ... a mate of mine is going on the ship next year so I am looking forward to finding out more.

The itinerary will deffo be a waste of time as far as we are concerned ... so unlikely bar a short break to Bruges n back.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

as I am registered disabled I suppose you could say I do
but as we have been on Arcadia 3 times always a struggle this is the largest ship we will go on but as we love oceana oriana and aurora we are very happy and will willingly leave the big ships to you.
