Aida Nova
We saw Aida Nova in port today. Essentially the same hull as Iona.
Gosh she's pretty ugly. Looks like someone sawed off the bow. I reckon Saga Sapphire alongside has a longer foredeck. I really wouldn't want to cruise in one of the forward cabins.

Cannot disagree with you Merv, but the drawings of Iona, and Carnival's Mardi Gras do not appear to have the same stunted bow line as Aidanova.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑18 Mar 2019, 17:07We saw Aida Nova in port today. Essentially the same hull as Iona.

That's interesting. Hope it turns out to be the case. Funnily enough from the front it looks okay. It's only from the side you get the full Titanic look, in the sense of the vertical prow. Is that the right word? Though at least she had a decent length of foredeck behind it. Not that it did her much good!

Re: Aida Nova
Not really. But I reckon you'd still know about it inside if you one of those forward cabins in a choppy sea..

Re: Aida Nova
Maybe not but it's nice to be on the best looking ship, and the one everyone else is oohing and aahing over, when you're in a busy port like Barcelona or St Maarten.

Re: Aida Nova
Yes we had an 1800cc coupe which was by far the best towing vehicle we ever owned. It had such fantastic low end grunt that I could climb to the top of windy hill with a fully loaded caravan from Milnrow on the M62 without needing to change down, and without exceeding the, then, 50mph limit at the start.
But I accept it was an ugly rust bucket.
