We did this last year and really enjoyed it. We did it with P&O as would worry about ferries etc. IMO it was worth it, trip over was good, crew were brilliant and lots of rum punches on the way back. JVD is a lovely island, wonderful beach, sea fantastic and loads of brown pelicans and frigate birds...although not guaranteed :moresarcasm:

It is about 1 hour, with a couple of hours or so on the beach, plus a drink and lunch. So although not that long on beach, trip was good and great seeing the other islands on the way. no idea about the bar - sorry
