Well you got it half right. Great surprise - to me - to the audience and the other dancers - definite shot of mouths open when the first couple in the dance off was announced!
Well, yes - but Debbie didn’t dance her samba well, although she did improve for the dance off. Surely Susan must go next week?

Debbie McGee

I think it took her down a peg or two and made her realise no one is safe no matter how good you are.

I think the problem is that Debbie does not have as much public support as the others

I stress that I don't watch it, but could it be that the recent talk about Ms McGee being one of the favourites led her supporters to think she was safe and thus didn't bother to vote ?

I think so, she may have different from middle of the table syndrome.
Plus I think she was good at the start and whereas some of others have now improved.

She is one of my favourites so do hope she can stay a few more weeks.
Whilst I thought Alexandra's dance was excellent I just don't like her.

I must admit I'm surprised how good Susan is. Not one for the finals but not the comedy candidate everyone expected.

Images, but I think that tells you what a good partner Kevin is.

I'm not sure that Susan doesn't have more support than Debbie now. Debbie looked incredibly shocked when it was announced she was in the dance off - so much so she couldn't speak. I think all bets are off now as to which couple will be in the dance off this coming weekend. I think Alexandra is the best dancer but that doesn't mean she'll win - in the end it's which couple have the most public support. There is only so much the judges can do to get rid of poor dancers.

Year after year I apply for nearly all the dates, but so much as a sniff of tickets. Bleedin celebs and all the hangers on always get them though. Not that I'm bitter of course

I would have thought not getting tickets for all that pap is reason to be thankful ! Are you trained to whoop and holler mindlessly to order then ?

If you do get tickets, you probably have to go on a course

Been in Cardiff today with the rugby crowd. Met up with our daughter for lunch and shopping.

A much better week than last week, it's really getting down to the who is a good dancer now. I thought the judges were on point when they said to Susan and Kevin good entertainment value but poor technically.
Liked Debbie's tango tonight.

Will be interesting to see which two couples are in the dance off.

I didn't like Alexandra's Rumba at all, and Mollie seems to have improved in the last few weeks as well as sounding more humble, so I guess it will be Alex and Susan in the dance off and its anyone's guess who the judges might choose. :sarcasm:

I think Gemma could be at risk in the dance off with Susan. Susan has had a good run, but it's now time to say goodby.

I don’t think Alexandra nor Gemma danced well last night. Mollie has improved considerably as have Joe and Davood. It really wouldn’t surprise me if one of the boys wins...

I can't stand Alex's fawning and grovelling to the judges. Good dancer but can't be doing with her histrionics. Get a grip, woman!!! Susan is the weakest of the lot. Her Pasa Doble seemed more more akin to a Glaswegian Stomp Around.

Maybe once Susan goes, I assume she will tonight but who knows, it's going to get down to who the public wants to win. I'm not sure who had the most public support. I may be wrong but I think probably more women vote than men so I would think that it may be more likely that one of the men wins. That's probably a sexist remark or something like that, can't keep up with what one is supposed to say or not say!
