I'm a lowlife Dai, ;)

We can't book until the 19th, but my choice is in with my TA.

We love Oriana by the way.

She's a lovely old girl.
Empty vessels .. and all that

Lucky you. Sue comes off every cruise saying "oh well that"s the last cruise for me".Then I have to wait for friends somewhere to suggest one, then I run it past her hopefully. Last year it was OBF , this year our bridge partners. Yours hopefully

Yes you will have to pay through the nose, and of course with fluid pricing the prices could go up even more.

I had my phone call on Thursday morning to confirm our cruise to USA and Canada in Sept 2018, a full 2years and 1 day before we sail.

it is a long time in advance, but we've wanted to do this route since we started cruising in 2001, so we wanted to make sure we got what we wanted, now the right time is here.

All done. :D

Nothing unusual, just a Med cruise, but wanted a specific C deck cabin on Ventura.

It's pretty similar to a cruise we took back in 2006 and we enjoyed that immensely.

Happy with the price as well.
I just checked and it's marginally cheaper to the price I paid in 2006.
How do they do that?

I know, I know!
No band, cheap biscuits, cheaper cuts of meat ..............
Empty vessels .. and all that

Just had our confirmation phone call from our TA to say she has booked one of our first choice C deck accessible balconies, on Ventura N814 June Med cruise, so very happy with that; and it will have had its refit by then so we might have a new carpet in our cabin.

We started in 2001 and had a balcony cabin on Aurora. We have just booked a mini suite on Oriana for 2018 and the price per night is within £3 of what we paid in 2001.

Wow! towny !!!!

That's the one that we've booked. C deck as well.

Well, when I say 'we' I actually mean me, because I haven't got round to mentioning it to Mrs Barney yet.
She'll be cool with it. She's just happy to be on holiday.

We can spend a fortnight talking football

Not at all Lindsey.

She's the most chilled person you could ever meet.

When I see her this evening I'll tell her and she'll say 'ohh, lovely'

We've done a similar itinerary and she loved it, so I can't do wrong really.

I always find it better for me to present everything as a done deal.
I.E, I'm going out Friday. I'm going to football Saturday etc.
It saves having a debate

Starting to feel left out as we've not booked anything yet!

Neither P&O nor Cunard have the perfect cruise for us so we're waiting to see what Princess have to offer. Found out today that their Summer 2018 cruises will be out in October/November so we'll see what they have.

There are a couple of second best options on Azura and Queen Elizabeth, or if all else fails we could be back to a river cruise or something new altogether.

So patience and let's see what Oct/Nov brings!

Well, we've taken the plunge and booked a 2nd cruise in 2018, and it's a real change for us

Norway Northern Lights in March 2018 on Fred Olsen Balmoral!

P&O have similar itineraries at around the same time on Oriana and Aurora, but having just been on Oriana and with 2 already booked on Aurora, we wanted something different.
