Upgrade Fairy

#1

Post by MicheleW »

Booked a girlie break back in February for my mum, godmother and I on Arcadia just for 4 nights in November to Amsterdam and Zeebrugge and had an email today saying would we like to upgrade from our balcony cabin to a suite for £100 - total, not each!

Did we - you bet we did!

Just making a list of things for the butler to do - apart from cleaning all my shoes :D

That's fantastic Michele. Hope you have a fantastic time.

4 nights? That will be a suitcase full of 12 pairs of shoes by my reckoning?

One's Butler ' may ' restrict his / her duties to matters relating only to ' food n drink ' on such a short cruise, don'tcha know ... in which case you galls had best draw up a shoe cleaning rota.

Enjoy the Suite
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

What a nice surprise for you Michele, and at a bargain price. The upgrade fairy certainly waved her magic wand that day. No wonder you snapped it up.

Enjoy

Well, all packed and ready to go, but getting a bit worried about the weather - wind is getting up a bit! Having had the start of both of my previous cruises this year delayed I'm hoping for a smooth start to this one.

Just checked the marine traffic website and notice that Arcadia is already well on her way up towards Southampton, closely followed by Oriana and Balmoral.
And having checked the Southampton Cruise Schedule, see that all 3 ships have much earlier arrival times (Arcadia 11.30pm and Oriana 3.30am) presumably to beat the strengthening winds!

Will just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings!

Hi

We did arrive at 3.30 am due to the forecast of high winds, the Arcadia docked at 11.30 pm the previous evening.

Interestingly we spotted her passing Solent Towers at 8.30 pm while having our dinner.

Bit of a surprise really but understandable given the weather conditions.

Should make for a more slick embarkation for you.
