Cruise berth at Venice
Does anybody know which berth the Ventura will use in Venice on the 2nd July.
Travelling to the ship independently, and it would be handy to know.

Re: Cruise berth at Venice
We are also travelling independently on the same cruise as you. We booked via an agent rather than directly via P&O - as we were offered a flight and overnight stay package. (Staying in Mestre the night before). The downside being - we have received very little information from P&O - so it's a bit like the "blind leading the blind". Looking at the cruise timetable website - there are only two cruises berthing at Venice on 2nd - the other one being a much smaller ship than the Ventura.
Assuming we find our way - see you on board!

I think there's only one main entrance to the dock area so it shouldn't make any difference.

If you book through an agent then they are the ones who should be providing the information - after all that is what you are paying them to do.kaf1sh wrote:The downside being - we have received very little information from P&O - so it's a bit like the "blind leading the blind".

When we were on last month Ventura was in the closest berth to the main entrance, right next to the water taxi point.
Maybe being docked for two days they get the best location?.
As stated there is only one main entrance so you cannot go wrong, just that it's a long walk to the furthest away berth compared to the closest one.

Presumably you'll not be walking to the ship from the airport or an overnight hotel. I'd therefore simply say to the taxi driver "Take me to Ventura"! My guess is that'll work.
