shore excursions
We are new to cruising and are booked on the Adonia at the end of September for a week going to France and northern Spain.
P & O are trying to get us to book shore excursions in advance but we are wondering whether this is necessary? How booked up
do the excursions get? We aren't seasoned travellers and probably won't feel confident enough to go on our own so don't want to
miss out.
Really looking forward to this cruise, booked to celebrate our Ruby Wedding but nervous too as we don't know what to expect.
Any suggestions will be very helpful

Re: shore excursions
Hi accountslady and welcome to the forum.
It is difficult to say whether excursions will get booked up or not - some will and some will not. One thing that I will say though is that if you wait until you are on board then the excursions will probably be dearer.
If you intend doing some excursions and are not sure which ones to do then take a look in the Destinations section of the forum for some tips and advice - and you may finf Peter D's excellent "Ports oc Call" guide helpful.

Re: shore excursions
The most popular excursions will get booked quickly so if there is somewhere you definitely want to visit- book it now. As David said the price on board will be more expensive.
A lot of ports can be safely visited by yourself so read up on the wealth of knowledge on this forum.
Shuttle buses are laid on at some of the ports and again I am sure someone will supply the link to that for you.
