Has anyone done a fly cruise from Dubai.

Do you get put in economy or a higher grade ?

Albeit in 2012 we flew to Bangkok to join the ship and returned from Dubai.

We booked a package with P&O requesting BA as our flight carrier on an Economy Plus type deal.

One point to watch is the matter of luggage allowance. Because of our upgrade we had double allowance, however, BA switched us to Quantas on the outward flight and they wanted £250 pp for the extra luggage. Luggage costs for both legs are ( were ) determined by the carrier on the return flight so we paid them nothing but retained our upgrade.

Hope that helps a little.

We were originally booked on Oceana on 10th January 2019 and flying back from Dubai direct to Manchester at the end of January. That flight was with Emirates with a 30kg pp limit. We then amended the holiday by adding the next Oceana cruise as a back to back. When we received the flight confirmations for that it was with BA Dubai to London and change for Manchester with 20kg or 23 kg pp. I spoke with them and paid a supplement to come back with Emirates as previously direct to Manchester. Any form of upgrade on emirates appears to be hideously expensive £2500 pp one way and out of the question for us

To avoid silly prices it is vital to use the same carrier, or one of their partners, on both legs.

We booked Dubia fly cruise from Glasgow with P&O for February 2019. The flights we were allocated Emirates economy (Dreamliner) 30kg hold luggage with good hand luggage allowance more than enough for the duration of the cruise.
We have actually changed to booking until January 2020!
