Waiting for the sun to burn off the mist so we can see God's green acres once again bathed in glorious sunshine. As I have said before I am quite warming to this idea of climate change!

I just ran that past Google translator and it came out as "see the dark satanic mills emerging through the smog"!

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Clearly you have not been up north recently, most of the mills have been sand blasted and converted into luxury apartments, or those nearer to town into student flats. Town centres now have trendy wines bars for the students to spend their low interest, never to be paid back, loans.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 09:46I just ran that past Google translator and it came out as "see the dark satanic mills emerging through the smog"!

I guess I forgot to mention all the betting shops, charity shops and empty shops that also litter our high streets.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 10:14Gosh Towny. Sounds a totally unsuitable place for you to live! Far too posh. You need to get a gaffe darn sarf.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Aurora round the Med, our first time on her with her new big tellies post the refit, should give us a better view of Town's humiliation at the hands of Man U on 5th May. I do realise you won't understand that last part Stephen.

We love Aurora too. I know all our needs are different John and I understand yours - even if it is just to inflict pain on yourself. But I hate the trend to big tellies in the cabin. For us they're just an ugly big black hole for most of the time, usually replacing a nice picture. 22" is enough for anyone (well most anyway) in that small space. IMO.

Apart from a quick look at the news we rarely turn it on. We can watch telly at home.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
After 14 days in the same cabin looking at the tripe that P&O put on the cabin walls, even the test card would be better than that, now if it was a Canalletto that might be different. And since we need an accessible cabin and prefer C Deck and because the shower controls are different handed, we only have 2 cabins to choose from, which means I have had to look at the same damned painting most cruises for our 10 or 12 P&O cruises we have taken over the last 9 years, after that even a blank TV screen is better.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑21 Apr 2019, 13:49We love Aurora too. Apart from a peek at the ships position we don't either. It use to be handy for checking your account but now they've done away with that and with the limited channels it's just something to glam up the cabin details.
