'FINCH'
One to watch starring Tom Hanks.

One of those feel good films with a little bit of everything in it, including a strong message.

Worth a look

Another good film we watched the other night was 'Last Breath' based on a North sea deep sea diver whose umbilical got cut.

Hi Ken,

Just finished watching the most harrowing, incredible, inspirational real-life films I have ever watched…thank you.

  Indeed, glad you enjoyed it ... I rate it as one of the best movies I have watched this year. I only found it because it got listed in a topic of 'movies you would never watch again' on Quora. The poster rated it very highly but said they would never watch it again .. seemed a strange dichotomy to me, so I had to watch it. I now know what they mean, I don't think I would watch it again, but am very glad I did.

BTW, the next one I remember is a film from 2009 called 'Moon' with Sam Rockwell ... unfortunately I can't find it free on Netflix or Prime (but I have a huge credit built up on Amazon so will probably pay for it).

It was one of those “once watched never forgotten” films…. I though Dave’s dry sence of humour was a disguise for the true hero that lay within.

I'll wait until until my wife gets back and give "Moon" a try. Then I suppose I'll have to give Stephen's Doggy Poo bag film a go. :)

An excellent but horrendous film, and hard to watch at times. I thought it was going to be a movie and not based on a real life event.

Respect to them. They earn every penny they get.

I lioved the answer in Sully (the film about the airliner that ditched in the freezing cold Hudson River in January 2009 and everyone survived) when asked by the inquiry if they'd do anything different if it happened again. The answer was yes, we'd do it in July.
