Fancy a northern lights cruise, make sure it's on a BIG ship

Just seen this article, and my experience in a raging storm on a ship has no comparison to what passengers had to endure on the MV Maud, taking 266 passengers to see the northern lights.

It looks like the aftermath of one of Stephens house parties :)

It does make you wonder what use a mayday call would be in a force 11 storm other than to pick up the pieces if it went down. I can’t see how it would be possible to airlift passengers off open decks in a storm such as that.

I don’t know but I would have thought it would just be a case of ride it out and hope for the best?
