at the caribbean drinks meeting the captain told us he had been told by paul ludlow that aura would have another 5 years in service for p&o until 2008 and that if the ship kept getting the number of passengers it had got in the last few years they would give it another 2 until 2010 this news was warmly applauded by all in the room

presumably there's rumours that she's about to go?
BUT - why doesn't P&O see that the numbers show that people like the smaller ships and reconsider producing yet another leviathan?

The problem is that the smaller ships need to have over 90% occupancy before they make a profit, whereas the leviathans start making profits from 60% occupancy.

The worry is I just read the dates without blinking....
