Ray..... It's usually made of wood and found on the forest floor. Often used for kindling by people with wood burners

Walking around a garden center last week, in the pet section, they had bags of pigs ears, to Mrs B I said "look at them, we've had loads of them as tapas in Spain and they are going to be given to dogs I assume" . You don't often see them on offer at the Butchers.

I just about remember my old nan roasting a whole pigs head, with an apple in its mouth. Apparently they used to eat them a lot during the war. Their brains were used to make the gravy (the pigs brain, not me nan). My old Mum used to say that the was the only animal you could eat the whole of.
