Re: Paid my deposit
John, I am a bit dubious about that statement, because any form of ridged material within such a small enclosed area could be a hazard.towny44 wrote:I have just read on CruiseBulletin, from Cruise UK, that all Britannia bathrooms will have frosted glass shower doors which in my view is a major step up from plastic shower curtains. However I suspect that our accessible cabins will still have curtains, but if the shower cubicle is as large as those on AZ/VE then I will not complain.
I have today contacted the interior designers, “Richmond” to have this point clarified and I will post their reply.

Re: Paid my deposit
Dave, I have just re-read the cabin descriptions on the P&O Britannia site and you are right. Every cabin grade has the phrase “bathrooms with glass shower screens”.haveabeer wrote:Sure I read somewhere that they are frosted glass shower doors
This is very unusual, although the bathrooms in suites and super deluxe cabins should be no problem, how they accomplish this in the others will be very intriguing.

Re: Paid my deposit
I seem to think that the original Superstar Gemini had glass shower doors; she was a sister of Fred's Braemar so maybe a recent cruiser on her could comment, and of course Celebrity's S class do have them.
Of course I assume these shower doors are probably high quality acrylic or polycarbonate rather than glass since I have not read of any breaking, and I'm sure by now someone would have fallen through one if it had been glass.
