Can anyone help please?

We are taking our first cruise on with Princess at the end of May (Emerald Princess) and have booked a suite. One of the benefits is a complimentary cover charge in a select dining venue on embarkation evening. Can anyone tell me whether your 'normal' dining table in the main restaurant is available on this evening, or do Princess offer this benefit because the main dining venue operates 'open seating' upon embarkation?

We had open seating, albeit not in a suite, on our first night(s) ... but that may not be the norm.
