D412 and D413
Hi all anyone else joining us on either of the above cruises.
The first is a cruise down the coast of Spain and Portugal with a cruise up the river into the centre of Seville.
The second cruise is more local visiting the Scilly Isles, Cobh, Guernsey and a Honfleur.
We are really looking forward to getting back on Adonia and introducing our friends to the small ship.

Re: D412 and D413
not on this one cos we did the Seville one earlier in the year when these 2 cruises were also consecutive and dozens of people were back to backing them.
Enjoy Seville - it was wonderful to be parked in the city centre.
are you there overnight?

Yes overnight Meg. I have been researching restaurants in Seville in walking distance from where the ship docks. Can you remember what the area was called by the port. Seville is split into neighbourhoods but I have not been able to identify the name if this near the port.Meg 50 wrote:not on this one cos we did the Seville one earlier in the year when these 2 cruises were also consecutive and dozens of people were back to backing them.

we had brekkie watching the traffic crossing the Puente do los Remedios.
If you google earth it, you'll see it is a dedicated ship's terminal. There's a the horse taxi rank directly outside and the Plaza Espana is within very easy walking distance.
Gotta go out ... if you want, I'll have a look for the area name when I get in

Re: D412 and D413
right, back now!
we disembarked and walked along the river to the next bridge after Remedios, turned right, up onto the road, crossed over and up Paseo de Cristina. that leads to the pedestrianised bit, the cathedral and the Real Alcazar. we then walked back to the ship through the Parque de Maria Luisa and the Plaza Espana.
We had intended to go back out after a freshen up, but the temps had hit 42 (there's a gauge on the roundabout at the port gates), so we waited and went out in the evening - along the river front for miles and found a silver band playing.
Next morning we decided not to go back into town, but spent hours exploring the Parque de Maria Luisa.
Area wise - the river seems to be the boundary, so the nearest appear to be Bellavista-La Palmera, Casco Antiguo, Sur and Los Remedios (lifted from here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Districts_ ... of_Seville )
