Rodoca.I cannot find the prices(Getaway)that you have booked. The P/O Site are showing quite high prices. How did you find this amazing offer?
Sorry Molly - those prices were only at that level for a couple of days, 2 weeks ago. You can still get an inside for £799 ( £100pp more)but the balcony cabins are now double what they were then.

J314 Arcadia to Eastern Med 25/9/13 has dropped Getaway fare again - £1299 inside. £1599 outside and £1999 for balcony - knew I had jumped in too soon still it will be a good deal for someone. The itinerary looks better than next year's from our point of view. Just hope all the afternoon departures are 5pm rather than mid afternoon. Must not, must not, must not look again

Some of the Getaways are getting interesting. New York and Canada is less than half the Vantage price:

25 nights at under two grand each for a balcony. We paid several thousand for an outside cabin for the two of us a couple of years ago.

It's always difficult to know when to jump in and book a Getaway - for the last two cruises we have jumped in a bit too early but at least we have had 2nd sitting dinner confirmed, which is important to us. I can only imagine everyone is now waiting till about 3 or 4 weeks before a cruise to book as the deals seem to be getting better at the last minute.

Just had an email from Imagine Cruising advertising a 27 night cruise from Los Angeles to Sydney from£2599 including flights on Arcadia. Couple of nights in Los Angeles at the start and at the end in Sydney - that works out at less than £100 per night but the catch is that it is based on two people sharing - little old me would probably pay double

Yes I,ve just booked for the 15day cruise on Ventura leaving on the 25th for the fly/cruise to the Caribbean, as a single cruiser I,ve paid 100% supplement but as the cruise was down to a very low price , it made it a bargain for me, but still dont understand the double price - when their is only one person needing a seat on the flight home, but glad to be going, now rushing round to seem which light weight clothes I can get into. Can anyone tell me - if they still dont weigh your luggage [put outside your cabin , previous night} before your flight back to the UK? Its good to see you on this forum Ken, you have been very helpful in the past on P&O,s commumity website, I,ve just found this site, thanks :

We thought we had with our upcoming Caribbean trip until last week when it was marked down a further £300. (balcony £1299) But hey, we are happy with the price we paid and maybe just maybe may get allotted a better located cabin than the cheapie cheapie bookers.
