Aurora 2015 World Cruise.

Just watched the lovely Aurora creep past the grounded car carrier on Brambles bank. Wish I was aboard her (Aurora I mean). Bon Voyage.

That's about as long as the World cruise lasted that fateful year!

Certainly time to book her if you want a delux balcony cabin, because my daughter has just phoned me to say they have been upgraded to a Suite for the whole cruise at no extra charge!!!

We have all just come off Oceana 4 days and had an upgrade from outside to balcony :D

I got it wrong. It wasn't from delux balcony, it was from mini to suite. (and I don't think it was free. I know that they did say when they booked that they would take an upgrade) Sorry if some of you got excited ........ or were jealous. Wwho was the comedian who said "I think I got it wrong again"?

Was it " I think I got it wrong again, Dad " ?

If so then Di-ck Emery springs to my mind

I got it wrong spectacularly, because she wasn't going on her worldie. I sat down on Hythe sea front for nothing, and by the time I found out she had come in again and left.....senility must be setting in.

I nearly got things more spectacularly wrong than you, Frank. We have some friends on a world cruise at present and for some reason I thought they were on the Aurora although they had quite distinctly told me Arcadia. We had debated joining them for one of the sectors and I was fairly close to booking Aurora, San Francisco to Southampton for the end of March. Thank goodness they phoned us on January 6th to say they were just leaving Southampton and hoped we would be joining them at some stage. I didn't like to admit my mistake (it could have been a very expensive mistake) so I just said funds were tight and we didn't think it was possible. Instead we are now going to join Arcadia in Dubai so I hope it isn't too much of a shock for them.

Senility can be very embarrassing and, at times, can be very expensive.

Hope you enjoy it when you get there Maureen. Arcadia is one of our favourite ships.
I definitely get confused, but I put it down to brain overload since I retired and gained a lot more jobs.
