Re: Amadeus Princess - XMas on the Rhine
Before he zoomed off Cubie asked about ' dress codes ' ... he's due back, so ;
Elegant casual ruled at the single sitting evening dinners but on Gala nights us Gents were ' invited ' to wear jackets, given that there were four Gala nights out of six I opted to wear mine every night but always without a tie. Some did however wear a tie whereas others didn't have a jacket etc ... not a problem.
The ladies dressed on a par with a Semi-Formal night on P&O.
ps .... welcome back Cubie

Re: Amadeus Princess - XMas on the Rhine
but were they enforced? - we had a problem with one party on ours who
a) always arrived late despite being told umpteen times that everyone was having to wait because of them
and
b) (same group) sloped in as scruffy as could be.
To avoid comments about 'ism' all I shall say is that they weren't brits.
Apart from that one lot everyone else (of a variety of nationalities) adhered to times and codes - always smart, but not excessively formal

Dress codes weren't discussed at any stage of the cruise by anybody that we spoke to and we were deffo not aware of any serving delays nor latecomers. There were a number of different Nationalities on board as per usual but all behaved impeccably as has been our experience on all of our Riverboat Cruises.
