Re: Adonia Here We Come
Our berth and terminal are now finally showing on our tickets, out of the QE terminal and back in at the Mayflower.
Less than two weeks now, really looking forward to being on the Adonia.

Adonia is almost home, due into Portland on the 14th for two days for a quick paint and wash and brush up. Contractors are sailing back on her getting the insides ready for those on D708. Currently just north of the Azores.

Re: Adonia Here We Come
Nearly all packed for my early departure on Friday. As my travel agent does not do the travel for cruises 11 nights or less I have taken the free coach, so will be giving interested cruises a try.

I've just checked and they are currently cleaning under your bed, Lindsey - who knows what the Yanks may have left there ?!

Re: Adonia Here We Come
An earlier post cast some doubt on the seamanship of Sarah Breton. I would like to say that she is one of the better Captains and most approachable that we have sailed with although I did overhear one gentleman while we were docked in Tallin saying that he slept wearing his life Jacket! I'm sorry that she is not on my next cruise on 25th August to the Med.

She seems popular and her seamanship seems to have earned praise for the way she handled a recent rescue. I'd be very happy to sail with her.

Re: Adonia Here We Come
I agree, Colin. She is the butt of a few jokes and, unlike you, we have found her customer relations prowess leaves a bit to be desired but there is no doubt she is an excellent Captain. I am pleased she will be in charge on our forthcoming July sojourncolin parry wrote: ↑15 Jun 2017, 10:34An earlier post cast some doubt on the seamanship of Sarah Breton. I tried that Merv a few weeks ago - you'll be lucky to get past the electric gates and fencing at Cubie Towers

Re: Adonia Here We Come
No flag on her bow - I wonder why not, is she just too small? Great to see her home.

Re: Adonia Here We Come
I quite like it on the larger ships of the fleet but I think it would be wrong on the smaller scale of Adonia
