World cruise J001
I’m thinking of traveling on the Arcadia world cruise J001 2020.
Are there any confirmed travellers who can inform me of any visas required
Regards
Mark

It should advise you in your cruise personaliser as to which visas you will require but it will be dependant on the country that issued your passport. For definitive answers you need to check with the various Embassies.
Be aware that P&O will only advise - it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate visas and that they are current for your visit.

Try the Government site.
It gives travel advice, including entry requirements for all the countries in the world
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice
Hope this helps

There are a few if you are doing the full circuit but most are routine and involve only a form and sending money.
For us India in 2012 was extremely difficult although it is supposed to have been simplified in recent times. We opted to employ a company who specialise in such matters ( TLCS Global Visa Services (TLCS) ), note that you will still need this Visa even if you decide to remain on board.
Brazil and Montevideo can be tricky regarding Yellow Fever certification. If you are young then get a jab 3 months prior to the cruise, if you are over 65 then be aware that the jab and / or the virus could see you off. Certification from your Doctor stating that you are not entering a Yellow Fever zone will normally be sufficient but this nor the jab are available on the NHS.
In the USA you must have an ESTA and an unblemished record to qualify for one.
All the above are best completed before you pay the final payment for the cruise.
Bon voyage

Unless the system has changed then that is not possible for India as you can (or could when we went to India) only apply for your visa three or six months before your date of leaving India. The three/six month rule is a bit strange in that you can apply for six months but you may only be given a three month visa on the whim of the issuing officer on the day. Having said that it is a rare occurrence.Manoverboard wrote: ↑28 Jun 2019, 10:06All the above are best completed before you pay the final payment for the cruise.
We did not find it too difficult applying for an India visa - especially if you can take it to their office to be validated. If you need several visa then it may well be worth considering using an agency - but they can charge quite an extortionate fee for their services.

We are nowhere near any of their offices so had little option.david63 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2019, 11:38Unless the system has changed then that is not possible for India as you can (or could when we went to India) only apply for your visa three or six months before your date of leaving India. You are correct they are expensive, very expensive. Following Port cancellations we paid a grand total of approx £500 for a day trip to Mumbai !
They require(d) details of all Countries visited in the past 10 years. In our case that was a very big number and our biggest problem was that we couldn't work out the dates else the places in our passports for at least ten of the Balkan Countries that we had visited a couple of years earlier during a coaching tour. There were also several Countries that ring their alarm bells, Pakistan ringing the loudest.
Either way we had no regrets and wouldn't have missed our one and only visit to India … it is very special as you know.
