Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
We are due here in February and it has been on my bucket list for some years! Fingers crossed! We have it booked for January 2022 also. I hope we don't have to wait that long.

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
That’s exactly what Willemstad looks like - the floating bridge which opens up to allow the larger boats to sail up the river. Lovely place If I was any good at reducing photo size I could post a few pics - I love all the ABC islands

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
Willemstad is lovely. I was convinced I'd been there twice, but looking through my pictures, it seems I've only been there once. I think it has stuck in my mind so much, it seemed like it had to be more than one visit.

Must put this place on my "must visit" list.
Looking on Google Earth where that massive bridge goes over the entrance to the harbour there are lots of sailing ships

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
To be honest the Caribbean was not our favourite destination but Grenada was probably, for us, the best of a bad bunch. We did an all day tour to see the best of this lovely Island but sadly it rained. C'est la vie

We love Aruba and our most recent visit was just before Christmas on Oceana. Weather was so hot we had to seek out air conditioned shops!

Don't be silly. Morocco isn't in the Caribbean. Do you know nothing?Manoverboard wrote: ↑19 Jun 2020, 12:18Really, I thought it was a Moroccan restaurant.
(Just for info - we've only been to the Caribbean once and not to any of the ports so far. Will start posting pics when we reach familiar territory. In the meantime enjoying others' contributions)

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
Visited Grenada the year after hurricane Ivan - devastating to see the houses with blue tarpaulins on the roofs and the church was in a terrible state. Happily they recovered from it and now it's just as we first saw it. I loved the tour around the nutmeg factory and every time I visit I buy nutmeg - my friend swears its the best

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
I've been Grenada just the once, and to be honest I wasn't that keen.
We did an island tour, and it rained most of the time, so we probably didn't see the island at it's best. This was in 2008, so it was 4 years after Ivan.
We were taken to a grim looking beach
