Re: The Repair Shop
I sometimes wonder if all the stories are true, could some of them be getting stuff renovated ready to sell on e-Bay
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I suspect that the story told is a scripted version of the real story purely to make for more interesting TV.Manoverboard wrote: ↑31 Oct 2020, 10:39I sometimes wonder if all the stories are true, could some of them be getting stuff renovated ready to sell on e-Bay
A common tactic these days were you only need a good backstory to win the likes of BGT.

Re: The Repair Shop
There was certainly a property near to us that appeared on one of the home make over programmes. It was a flat in part of a much larger building all of which had been bought by a developer and then after the show the flats were sold/ leased. Only one of the flats appeared in the show but certainly the impression was it was an individual’s home.

Re: The Repair Shop
someone wrote a piece for our Old Girls newsletter telling how she was on Repair Shop and how it works. There was ages spent talking about the background to the article being mended - took all day!
when watching we are always intrigued by the continuity - how they come in out of the rain dry etc etc.
But it doesn't matter it's a good watch - unlike so many money grubbing shows
