I've got a cruise in May and it's the same. Not complaining though.

Having had a quick read - does "through July 2014" translate to increased benefit from 1st August 2013 - then perhaps continuing if approved at future AGMs?

As I read it it means from now until next July. That's standard the notice reads like that every year.

Oh well no change for us - but we are grateful for the shareholder obc which we receive; and the extra payment received in December was smashing and quite unexpected. Should be about time for another dividend payment soon?

That's almost the equivalent of 3 pints of wife-beater on our next cruise.

I wonder whether it is worth asking Karen whether we are allowed to apply for the difference if the shareholder credit has already been applied....

i DON'T SEE WHY IT SHOULD MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE AS TO WHEN THE obc WAS APPLIED FORjacksparrow wrote:Towny I can concur... I had a reply and its for requests made after 7th March... I shouldnt have applied so early...
Sorry caps lock now off....
...as far as I'm concerned, if the sailing date falls in the applicable period then the cruise should have the higher OBC amount...and Wina has told Karen so.
If they persist with their current stance then we will leave future applications to the last possible minute.

Ok, I'm being daft (no change there then), it's possibly all connected to this strange disc which has appeared in the sky here today, but why has the obc changed for P&O cruises and not also for Cunard cruises?
Should I go and sulk in the corner (but if I do, I'll take a Magnum with me)?

Err cos P&O work in the good old £ and Cunard work in the $. If you go on Cunard you get your OBC in $'s and this means you get more anyway. It's about £170 ie $250

Re: Shareholders OBC....Increase?
Wina has just posted the following over on the official FB page..
"Following the 2012 Carnival Annual Report on 7 March the Shareholder Benefit has been increased yet we have been told that we are not entitled to the increase because we have already applied for it, we don't cruise until late April!
The wording on the Carnival Corporation & PLC Shareholder Benefit says "The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2014 aboard the brands listed below. Applications to receive these benefits should be made at least 2 weeks prior to cruise departure date."
We applied for the Shareholder benefit after final balance was paid (at P&O's request) so why are we not entitled to the increase in benefit?"
I'm not expecting an official response however.

You can't be short of a bob or two if you can still afford P&O's exorbitant price for a G&T, £3.80 for a 25cl measure with a tiny can of tonic.

I know that others have tried and failed but I have also emailed Karen regarding my cruise on 4th April. I have also had notice of the AGM to be held in London later in April. This is certainly a matter that could be raised there except that I shall be away cruising.

You don't get out enough! otherwise.........No comment.
Apart from the fact I never pay £3.80, I drink doubles.

Are you sure cruising is for you Bob:-
Missing ports
Missing OBC
Missing AGM
Anything else gone astray?
