A doctor accidentally prescribes his patient a laxative instead of cough syrup. Three days later the patient comes for a check-up and the doctor asks, “Well? Are you still coughing?” The patient replies, “No, I’m afraid to.”

Doctor: “Quick, he’s losing a lot of blood. He needs an infusion — what’s his blood type?!”

Nurse: “B positive.”

Doctor: “I’m trying, but he’s lost a lot of blood.”

No, I’m currently languishing in hotel NHS after being sent there by my GP with a very fast heart rate and breathing and possible sepsis after kidney stones removal from the right kidney op on Tuesday. Been here since around ten thirty this morning and looks like and overnight job

Going by the amount of drugs, some very expensive they’ve pumped into me I think I must have used up all my allowance in one hit.

Quiet it isn’t.

Thanks Jan. I don’t feel too bad at the moment but the old readings are still high. It’s not as if there are any good looking nurses in the old starched uniforms causing it.

Do you get Inpatient credit when you are kept in overnight?

I wish John. I’d be happy with bed right now. It’s way past my bed time. There’d better be a bed time story when I fianally get one :D

Tell me about it - been there got the tee shirt. What's even worse is that you cannot get to sleep in hospital beds anyway and when you are just about to drop off somebody comes round to wake you up for something or other.

They must have used a rusty spoon to scoop your stones out. Get well soon matey. And home to your personal carer. When I was in most of the nurses were wonderful but there was one who had learned his bedside manner and morning wake up technique at Colditz. .

Got it in one David.

I’m going to try and beg or bribe to go home today. One night is one too many as far as I’m concerned.

Your not far off the truth Merv going by the look of the theatre with a table that was only fit for beaffran operations.

Got to go now the full English is coming round. I wish :)
