TA or PandO

Is it worthwhile going through a TA now as opposed to PandO itself, apart from keeping the TA in business?

I am wondering the same.

We usually use the same TA, and our OBC this time was phenomenal in comparison to previous times, don't think we would have got it booking with P&O. But I can book today with P&O with the pre-register. Already have the cost of the cruises we want to do

We use a TA because she can sort out any little problems, flights, upgrades, etc, saving us time and frustration on the phone! She used to be able to give us a good discount, but of course that's all changed now sadly. Jay

Yes I would rather use a TA any day. If you need something, they can usually organise it.

I too would always use a TA our TA has recently sorted out bookings with a couple of lines (not P&O) where we had been given conflicting information on the phone from the crusie line themselves. She is also a fount of knowledge about which cabin, getting bookings linked, what to do in port even!

Depends ... for a Getaway Deal we book direct with P&O otherwise, including other holidays, we use Bath Travel.

Having had a TA "go to the wall" then it would be P&O every time - and never had any problems with requests

P&O for me I think in the future in the past we have used specialist cruise TA's i.e. Bolsover and Cruisekings and neither local so any problems would still have to spend time on phone.

We always use T/A
But think that in future will use P&O reasons are
We had a issue spoke to P&O they was not interested just shoved us back to T/A who tried to help but
it took an email from me to get the cruise company to sort it plus T/A requires final payment 2 wks earlier
and CC charges are usually more
But always been happy with T/A

Used an independent TA for several years. Always gave good service, discounts and flowers to the cabin. Their margins were being squeezed by P&O and the flowers stopped and the discount gradually diminished. Started to book direct and have had no problems. Found recently that the TA had folded.
