Officially - no, you are supposed to hand it in when you re-join the ship until the end of the cruise. How diligent the crew are at enforcing that rule can vary from ship to ship/day to day/crew member to crew member.

If all else fails ...
In my experience some of the American passengers on the US Lines will carry 1.5 litre coke bottles off and then back on the ship with them, on the return leg the coke has been diluted with Bacardi. 3/4s full is advised

Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Yes as above, officially you can't. But with 9 in your group you may be a lot more comfortable drinking in one of the bars than in a cabin! P&O bar prices are not bad compared to other cruise lines.

Welcome to the forum Walls64
Never had a problem providing you don’t abuse it with boarding and your bag chinking away.

Just be aware that when you get back aboard at each port everything goes through a security x-ray machine. Not chinking may not help!

If the port security is being used then they dont bother about alcohol, and TBH very rarely do the ships security.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑13 Oct 2022, 19:51Just be aware that when you get back aboard at each port everything goes through a security x-ray machine. Not chinking may not help!

Agree John, although eyebrows might be slightly raised at a keg of beertowny44 wrote: ↑14 Oct 2022, 09:41If the port security is being used then they dont bother about alcohol, and TBH very rarely do the ships security.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑13 Oct 2022, 19:51Just be aware that when you get back aboard at each port everything goes through a security x-ray machine.
