Cabins underneath public areas such as theatre etc
Just looking for experiences of anyone who has had cabins underneath public areas such as bars, the theatre in particular and especially on Azura and Ventura
Did you hear much noise?

Re: Cabins underneath public areas such as theatre etc
My grown up children had a cabin over the theatre. It didn't disturb them as they went to bed late, but they knew when a show was ending as they heard crescendos in the music (and pyrotechnics), as well as the applause. Andrew & I would go to a show before dinner, and they would know when to come and join us for dinner. If they were in the cabin during the afternoon they would hear the troup practising too. Steph says that she could have slept through it, but it depends on how well your children get to sleep, I guess!

Emrobo, we were in E726 on the Azura last year which is directly over the Manhattan night bar and I think the speaker was attached somewhere under the bathroom floor of that cabin. The first night we could hear the music but a quick chat with the people on reception and they asked the DJ to turn the music down slightly and for the rest of the cruise we had no problems. It was our first cruise and were unsure of the best cabins to go for but we found it to be a great and would book it again.

We did a cruise with an aft suite directly under the public deck area above, and just once or twice people would be dragging sunbeds to the very edge of the area (by the railing) and we could hear that noise - but it was only once or twice. It was lovely when there were sailaways, because we could enjoy the singing and music from our own balcony! There was much banter and encouragement between us and the people up on the aft deck for sailaway, we in turn encouraged the people on the deck below (and so on).

We've had a last-minute bargain inside above Starlights on Oceana
The only noise we heard was from afternoon rehearsals if we ever popped back to the cabin. It wasn't intrusive but one was aware of it. Nothing to disturb us when we went to bed and we're not particularly late birds

We once had one right under The Belvedere on Arcadia and there was much dragging of chairs across the floor early morning and later when the waiters were clearing up. We know better now and always avoid cabins beneath public rooms.

Hello, we had an inside cabin on our first cruise on Arcadia which was above the Theatre. Never again, we could hear everything, especially at the end of the show when the noise increased a lot.
