Unfortunately for him "no" Cubie, I found out later that his sister who also worked at the firm was the organiser of the dinner and she put him and his A.N. Other on this table simply because there were two young single girls on there. It was a bit awkward because both girls were more interested in me and when it turned out I was seeing Cheryl both her friend and mine stopped talking to us for quite some time.
It was quite significant that the Beatles released their album that day because although I thought it was their worst album the song "I Will" turned out to be one of our favourite tunes as I proposed on New Years Eve and she said "I will", this was the tune we danced to at our wedding reception.

Re: On This Day
That reminds of the night a mate and I went to a taverna in Frith Street and for a while, we were the only two customers. Then two dolly birds came in and, out of all the empty tables, the waiter sat them next to us. Paddy and I were eyeing them up with the usual "hmm, I fancy yours as well" routine when we tuned into their conversation to hear one say "all we need now is to find two nice men to take us out for the evening."
We beat a hasty retreat...

Other on this table simply because there were two young single girls on there. It was a bit awkward becauseboth girls were more interested in me and when it turned out I was seeing Cheryl both her friend and mine stopped talking to us for quite some time.
It was quite significant that the Beatles released their album that day because although I thought it was their worst album the song "I Will" turned out to be one of our favourite tunes as I proposed on New Years Eve and she said "I will", this was the tune we danced to at our wedding reception.
