Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Cruise Community Forum. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Forum rules

    1. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum and members are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Members are also asked not to "cross post" (posting the same topic in more than one forum, or multiple times in the same forum). Members consistently posting to the wrong forum, or cross posting, may be given a warning (see policing below). #
    2. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other members and not disrupt the normal flow of dialogue, or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other members' ability to engage in real time exchanges. Flaming or abusing members in any way, seeking retribution or fuelling confrontation with other members which may lead to members leaving or the overall harmony of Cruise Community being disrupted, will not, under any circumstances, be tolerated and will lead to a warning. #

    5. Members are asked not to act as "back seat moderators". If a member notes an issue which contravenes something in these rules then they should use the report facility to bring it to the attention of a Moderator/Administrator. A member should only do this once and should not respond to such topics themselves. Members who constantly act as moderators may be warned. #
    6. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. #

That is members should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly members should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Members consistently abusing this may be warned. #

    11. The moderating team reserves the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to the Moderators and not individual members and Moderators/Administrators will not enter into communication with members on these or any other matters. #
    12. The forum rules, where applicable, also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging. #
