Which reminds me Why aren't there many horses on the Isle of Wight?
Because they have Cowes to Ryde.

A commodore can do what he likes. Even sing once twice three times daily.

Expensive weekend ahead as I mark 45th wedding anniversary to my dear wife Sarah. Booked in at our local Michelin star restaurant Saturday night. There is also the glitter she will expect and most importantly, never forget the card.
See you all Monday.

No problem if you don’t mind 200% interest rates ……a day, and doubles for every day your late repaying.
Can’t be fairer than that.
Or, Ray could save himself a fortune and just walk up and down with Mrs B outside the restaurant taking in the gourmet aromas

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Had a nice morning at paper mill lock and tea room followed by a walk along the river. Very pleasant in the warm sunshine and only a fifteen minute drive from our house.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Just back from a holiday flight and must have had the worst cabin crew ever, unusual for Jet2 where they are normally brilliant. Not quite sure about the Captain either. If they send me a feedback form they'll be getting both barrels.
So as we were ascending a number of passengers started standing up before the seat belt lights went off. They were unchallenged.
Two actually walked past us to go to the toilet. Unchallenged.
So after a further little while our granddaughter wanted to go to the toilet. So we pressed the call button and when a female cabin crew member arrived (can you call them hostesses these days or does that get you "cancelled?") we asked if she may go to the toilet. "No" she said, "the sear belt signs are still on", and walked off.
So when another FCCM was passing we asked her why our granddaughter was not allowed to go to the toilet when others had been walking about for ten minutes. "Because the seat belt signs are still on, it's the Captain's decision". But why, we repeated, did you not challenge the other dozen people wandering about the cabin. She walked off.
After another ten minutes the lights had still not gone off. So we told our granddaughter to go anyway.
In the end the lights stayed on all flight. The Captain had evidently forgotten. Which worries me what else he might have forgotten. Did we fly all the way home with the wheels down? There are two of them in the cockpit supposedly cross checking what each other is doing. How did neither of them not notice the lights were still on?
More to the point why did the senior FCCM not pick up her little intercom phone and say "Excuse me Sir, did you know the seat belt sign in still on? We have people wandering about back here and children wetting themselves because we're telling them you won't let them go to the toilet"?
It rather defeats the object of the lights in the first place.
I noticed we didn't get the usual announcement that "We'll be landing shortly and the Captain has now turned on the seatbelt signs so please return to your seats". Because he hadn't. I just imagine the conversation when the Captain said to the co-pilot "Okay Dave, turn the seat belt signs on for landing."
"Well actually, Sir........."
And never a word of apology from either the flight deck or the FCCMs (or the sole MCCM for that matter) for the inconvenience. Just pretended it didn't happen.
Muppets.

Don't do the Captain down, he didn't bother with the lights as he and the co pilot were trying to find the switch for the wheels.
