Private Messages
Can I ask that you look to see if there are any PMs that you do not need to keep and please delete them. There are currently in excess of 5,000 PMs in the system all of which are taking up valuable resources.

Re: Private Messages
Go into your inbox or sent box and open message you wish to delete. Go to top righthand corner of message where there is a blue cross. Click on cross and it goes red and says delete message, click on it and then it asks you to confirm you wish to delete. You click on Yes and message disappears.gfwgfw wrote:By Heck help needed

Well that's what I've just done and they have disappeared so hope those instructions are right.

Re: Private Messages
if you want to delete other than one by one, there's a box beside each - click the ones to go - or go to the bottom where there's a 'click all' option.
then, also at the bottom there's a drop down where you can opt to delete all the selected messages

Re: Private Messages
As Meg says, bottom left in 'Messages' there's a 'Mark All' in blue. Also at the bottom scroll down the box marked 'Mark/Unmark as important' where there is a 'Delete Marked' option. Click on that and then press Go and it deletes all posts on that page. If you have a lot of messages you will need to do this for each page.

Re: Private Messages
Don't worry Maureen. If it comes up on my computer I'll send it back to you. Can you remember if it asked where you wanted the posts exported to. I presume they will be stored on your computer somewhere. If a box came up asking where to export to, that's where they will have gone.
I have just tested it myself and it looks like it was offering to be opened or saved as an Excel file. Not sure what you may have asked the computer to do with it.

My understanding is No. This was raised before and I am sure David said nobody but yourself can access them. So if you have something to hide you are safe!!

Apologies, I am usually good about deleting messages, but on here I had quite a few waiting to delete. All done now.
